A popular family of species among which the kissing gourami is the most renown.

Similar to the popular Betta gouramis have a set of auxiliary lungs whihc permt them to extract air from the surface of the water.

Fish like human beings require oxygen to live.

There are a large number of varieties of Gouramis – one species reaching several feet in length.

However most are in the 2″ to 4″ range.
